Åsnen

Åsnen is a place where wilderness meets water, with over 1,000 islands and a 700 km long shoreline. Åsnen National Park, inaugurated in 2018 as Sweden’s 30th national park, is 75% covered by water.

A special fire ban applies around Åsnen. From April 1st to September 30th, it is not allowed to light fires, either on islands or on land.

Fishing

 A fishing mecca spanning 15,000 hectares with an impressive shoreline of 740 kilometers!

Åsnen is one of the largest fishing lakes in southern Sweden, renowned for its countless islands, fjords, and bays, which create a unique diversity and richness in nature.

Here you can fish for species such as pike, perch, zander, and eel. The lake boasts a versatile and abundant fish fauna.
